1. SVR FOAMING CLEANSER
Before we dive in, you need to know your skin type and if you don’t I did a blog that might guide you read it here and after you need to have a skincare goal before you try any product, if you are not a Pro in skincare make sure you reach out to an expert for better advice it will save you so much trouble.
The first product I am reviewing in this blog is the SVR gel foaming cleanser that I used for a month when I finally decided to invest in my skin, before I was very anxious to spend my money on products because of the fear they might not work but I reached a point where my skin was really suffering and I decided to just go for it. you can watch how I use it here.
The SVR Sebiaclear Foaming Gel is a soap-free face & body cleanser that gently purifies and exfoliates with salicylic acid. It is made for sensitive combination and oily skin that are prone to blemishes and in my experience it is very gentle and helps you remove impurities without drying your skin. During the use of this product I felt that weekly I need an extra scrub to remove excessive residual so I would recommend using it if you don’t have very oily skin or using it in the morning when you don’t have many products on your face.
Is it a product I would purchase again? Yes, it is very gentle and not heavily scented plus it didn’t break me out. Currently I stopped using it because I am trying another product and I m seeing which one works better. Get it from amazon through this link here.
Rating: 8/10
2. LAROCHE POSAY FOAMING GEL CLEANSER
I started using this baddie in the last week of October, it has been recommended to me so many times but I didn’t buy it because it is very expensive but as you can see we ended up trying it.
It is to early to review this product but so far I must say that it does the work, it removed all the dirt and I feel like it does deeper cleansing than the SVR, since I started using it I don’t feel any build up left on my face and I don’t need an extra scrub. As I mentioned it is still to early to recommend it but for the rating I will give it a 8/10 for now maybe after few months I will tell you what I think.
3. SVR Mattifying, anti- blemishes SPF50+ CREAM
This mattifying cream from SVR has SPF50 which acts as a sun protector and moisturizer at the same time has been in my routine for more than a month and here is what I think. So on the packaging it says “It is non comedogenic (it doesn’t clog pores)” and it is mattifying which means you don’t go out looking oily and shinny. To be honest it didn’t work for me and I kept on using it for the sake of the money I bought it but it really doesn’t work for me and I am planning to stop it for my own good. One thing I love about it is that it doesn’t leave a white cast but overall it is a no for me. Shop it here.
For the rating I would give it a 5/10.
4. CERAVE BLEMISH CONTROL GEL
This another bad boy I started using recently and It would be to early to start giving reviews, I will do a separate blog for it so stay tuned for that. But basically it is made of 2% salicylic acid that clears acne and helps prevent new breakouts from forming and also has AHA and BHA. The powerhouse ingredients in this gel not only make it an effective acne treatment but also helpful for post acne changes while supporting the skin barrier. So I can’t wait to see the results.
Basically those are the products I have tried for the past few months of 2024, you can read about those I tried early this year here. Which brand would you like me to try again ? Let me know in the comment section. See you in another blog.
