To stay organized is one of the hardest thing to keep up with in this busy life.
We often have a lot of things to do and it is very hard to keep up with everything in an organized way.
Nobody was born organized it is a habit that we learn through out our lives and it is one of the main habit to adapt when you want to live a more purposeful life.
If you are a not an organized person don’t worry today i am sharing with you 5 tips that can help you stay organized day by day.
1. MAKE YOUR BED IN THE MORNING
This one of the first thing that define an organized person.
When you start your day after praying make sure you make your bed, it give a more positive perspective of the day you are about to start.
I used to live my bed messed up and everything disorganized telling myself it’s my room who cares?
It affected my everyday mood, i was always disorganized , forgot where i put things and couldn’t find them because of the disorder.
When your bed is made in the morning it also give you courage to arrange everything and the bedroom look nice and fresh.
That is a FRESH START OF THE DAY.
2. PLAN IN ADVANCE TO STAY ORGANIZED
This is the one thing that helps me to stay organized.
At the beginning of every month i make a monthly schedule of things i need to do during the month.
I set monthly goals,in my monthly plans i also include monthly leisure to help me during my relax time.
After that i do a weekly plan according to my monthly schedule.
When setting your goals make sure you set SMART goals ( Specific, Measurable ,Achievable , Realistic and Timely).
Don’t set a goal that you know you won’t achieve, don’t be so hard on yourself. It can be so overwhelming when you set goals and never achieve them so start with what you can achieve.
After planning my week i know what i need to do from Monday to Sunday so it helps me to stay organized, focused and use my time wisely.
If you want to be more organized get yourself an agenda and start writing down everything you feel like needs to be done and set some deadlines it serve as motivation.
3. MAKE A TO DO LIST DAILY
As i said in the last paragraphs after planning monthly and weekly plans you need a daily plan or a to do list.
When making a to do list you need to set 3 main priorities to focus on during the day.
This will give a more organized schedule to spent your day and this is a real time saving method.
Here are a template i use for my daily to do list , download it and print it for your daily use.
You can design yours through canva.com
4. FINISH ONE TASK BEFORE STARTING AN OTHER ONE.
This one of the things that i still need to learn, i know most of you can relate to this : doing multiple things at the same time. I have noticed that i love mixing up things.
I can write a blog while doing my work report and listening to a podcast or music at the same time and at the end of the day i found myself not finishing any of my tasks.
The blog is not finished, the job report is a mess ( most of the time) and i am not learning from the podcast. What a waste of time !!!
I know we all want to do multiple things at the same so we can have free time for ourselves but that also mess up our effectiveness.
The best thing is : to do one task at a time in an organized way by starting with the most important thing on your list.
Avoid mixing things up if you want to be organized and fruitful.
5. CLEAN UP REGULARLY
This is the last and also my favorite tip to stay organized.
You can take 30 minutes or 1 hour to clean up your house or room and your surrounding in order to stay organized.
This clean up is going to help you remove things that are no longer needed and save space for new things.
Keeping things that are no longer used is a sign of DISORGANIZATION and MESS. so clean it up honey !
While cleaning make sure that you put everything back in place this well you to know where to find each items and prevent disorder in your room or house.
This tip also apply to your phone, laptop get rid of these screenshots you no longer need, blurry pictures, keep your cell phone clean.
Take time to clean up all your email check all these emails, delete those spams emails.
I usually do this clean up every Sunday after church and also do my weekly plan.
If you were looking for easy ways to stay organized i hope this blog helped you, share with me your tips in the comment section.
